Better Education = Better Health?

That’s what the USA Today reported when it quoted the results of a recent study performed by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Commission to Build a Healthier America.

The key take-away seems to be less education = less good health.  This may be the first time there is evidence that other factors outside of the medical world play a significant role in the future of one’s health and longevity.

It’s hard to argue with the results of this study.  Stop and think about people you know, friends and acquaintances and suddenly you get an eerie feeling of the impact this study may have.  Policy makers take note!  An added benefit of promoting good education is the improved health of our country and people.

Should we put greater emphasis on nutrition, science, physical education and stay in school programs?  Is this the way to go?

Stay educated, live long and prosper!
