Stay "Green"

Wow!  That about sums it up.  From Environmental Education Week to Earth Day, it was a non-stop event.  Great to see.

Educators nationwide included Earth Day themes in lesson plans and class materials and many scheduled grade-level appropriate class trips and assemblies.  Adding to this important event, many education partners from corporations to museums and school administrators supported the effort.

We hope the enthusiasm for protecting our environment continues to flourish.  There are many corporate sponsors such as Waste Management that are committed to encouraging K-12 classrooms to continue to “Think Green”.  Check out ThinkGreen.com, the new K-12 resource from Waste Management, powered by Discovery Education.  A great “Green” resource for teachers, parents and students.

For more hands-on Earth Day and environmental education programs, visit EarthAdventure.org.  Earth Adventure travels to schools across the country providing interactive science and geography-based assembly programs.

Let’s stay the course and stay “Green”.   Share some of the things you did to stay green.
