Parents, Mexico and its people will tell you it’s with Burger King.  Two recent and potentially damaging ad campaigns have alienated Burger King in their eyes.  Parents are outraged about the King and his square pants dancers in a take on Sponge Bob.  What better way to serve fast food to school aged children then to use a well known cartoon character like Sponge Bob.  But honestly, one look at this commercial and suddenly the King looks more like the “predator”.  Scary!

In addition, another Burger King campaign managed to offend Mexico and its people by displaying posters of a less than appealing Mexican figure draped in a Mexican flag.  The company revised the ad, but added that the campaign was within legal parameters.

Wow, what can we say?  Any thoughts on these bizarre ad campaigns?
